The suppliers below billed Medicare in 2024 for home medical equipment from a San Diego mailing address, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) file Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Devices & Supplies by Supplier and Service. Addresses come from the federal NPI Registry. We then checked each business's own website on 3 November 2026 for phone numbers, rentals, repairs, delivery and whether you can walk in; where we found no website, the phone number is the one in the NPI Registry.
Two limits to keep in mind. CMS leaves out any item a supplier billed for fewer than 11 Medicare patients, so smaller shops and less common items can be missing. And the claims are from 2024, so a business may have changed what it carries. Where a website does not say something, the listing says "Not stated". Call before you go.

Walkers in San Diego: buying, renting and repairs
7 suppliers in the list billed Medicare for walkers in 2024: Mission Medical Supply, Verio Healthcare, Apria Healthcare, GoodChoice Medical Supplies, Abt Medical Supply, Lincare and SCORE Ortho. That means they supplied walkers to Medicare patients; it does not tell you whether they rent them or fix them.
On the websites we checked on 3 November 2026, Harmony Home Medical Supply is the only one that states walker rentals (Harmony lists walker rental "starting at $15.00" and rollator rental at $30.00; the rental period is not stated), and none says it repairs walkers specifically. Call to ask about walkers before you go.
Medicare.gov says Part B covers walkers, including rollators if you are eligible, when your doctor or other provider orders one for use in your home, and that you can use any Medicare-approved supplier to repair a walker you already own, including replacement parts. If you need equipment for a short time, or cannot afford it, these programs lend or give away used equipment. Availability changes, so call first.
Medicare and paying for equipment
Medicare Part B pays for covered equipment (walkers, canes, wheelchairs, hospital beds, commodes and more) when a doctor or other provider orders it for use in your home and you get it from a supplier enrolled in Medicare. After the Part B deductible you pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount if the supplier accepts assignment. Ask every supplier whether they accept assignment; for rentals, ask whether they will for every rental month.
Bathroom items such as grab bars, shower chairs and raised toilet seats are generally not covered by Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans, Medi-Cal and VA benefits may cover more; ask the plan. Medicare's supplier directory lets you search by ZIP code and item.
