Finding in-home caregiver jobs in Beaumont

Care work in Beaumont is split between a handful of licensed employers and a large number of private homes. CDPH lists two skilled nursing facilities with Beaumont addresses: Highland Springs Care Center on Michigan Avenue, licensed for 87 beds, and Vista Real Post Acute on East 8th Street, with 57. A third, Oak Glen Post Acute, has a Cherry Valley address. Los Feliz Hospice Health Care keeps an office suite on Beaumont Avenue, and Neighborhood Healthcare runs a licensed community clinic on North Highland Springs Avenue. People discharged from those beds and clinic visits are often the same people whose families then look for help at home.

Plan your profile around the car. In ACS 2020–2024, 76.4% of employed Beaumont residents drove to work alone, only 0.4% used public transit, and the average one-way trip took 35.7 minutes. If you drive, list the streets or neighborhoods you will cover and say if you can take a client to appointments. If you do not, Beaumont Transit's fixed routes and its two Commuter Links, described below, decide which jobs you can reach. Spanish is spoken at home by 23.8% of residents five and over, and 4.7% speak an Asian or Pacific Island language, so name every language you are comfortable using with a client.

Types of caregiver jobs in Beaumont

Most private requests here are for help after a hospital or rehab stay, morning bathing and dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders and company for a parent who now lives with an adult child. Some families want a driver for medical visits outside town. New caregivers can start with companionship and household tasks and add personal care as they gain experience. If you prefer a regular employer, the CDSS file dated May 25, 2025 shows five licensed home care organizations with Beaumont addresses, among them Caregivers Galore on North California Avenue and Happier at Home on Highland Springs Avenue.

Pay

Caregiver pay in Beaumont: how much caregivers make

Public figures first, then what they mean for private work. Statistics describe employed aides across the Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario, CA metro (Riverside and San Bernardino counties); private rates on CaregiverConnect are agreed between each caregiver and family and are not tracked by any agency.

MeasureHourlySource and coverage
Home health and personal care aides, Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario, CA metro (Riverside and San Bernardino counties)$16.50 medianBLS OEWS, May 2025; 102,760 jobs; concentration 2.16× national
IHSS provider wage, Riverside County$19.90CDSS; effective May 1, 2026
California minimum wage$16.90effective January 1, 2026

Who is the employer. A family that hires you directly is your employer under California's Domestic Worker Bill of Rights. The state minimum wage ($16.90 an hour from 1 January 2026; some cities set more, for example $17.75 in the City of San Diego) is the legal floor, and a personal attendant earns overtime at 1.5× after 9 hours in a day or 45 in a week. The main exceptions are IHSS recipients and an employer's own parent, spouse or child. Source: California DIR, Domestic Worker Bill of Rights FAQ.

Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario MSA (Riverside and San Bernardino counties) projection: 94,950 aide jobs in 2023 to 126,020 in 2033 (+32.7%), about 191,990 openings over the decade including replacements (California EDD, 2023–2033 projections published April 2026). Openings are not the same as net new jobs.

About 4.7% of Beaumont's labor force was unemployed, on average, between August 2025 and August 2026, according to EDD estimates, with monthly readings from 4.0% to 5.2% in a labor force of about 27,400. That is below Riverside County's 5.5% and below California's 5.3%. For care work, the figures that matter more are pay and employers. Riverside County IHSS pays $19.90 an hour from May 1, 2026; the Riverside County IHSS guide covers enrollment.

The UC Berkeley Labor Center lists no local minimum wage for Beaumont, so the state $16.90 is the floor for agency and private work. The BLS median of $16.50 covers two counties and was measured before that minimum took effect. A family that employs you directly as a personal attendant owes overtime after nine hours in a day or 45 in a week. One county-line detail: IHSS pay follows the client's home, so hours worked for a client living in Yucaipa are paid at San Bernardino County's $19.00, not Riverside's rate. ACS puts Beaumont's median household income at $107,118 and its median gross rent at $1,681.

How to enroll as a provider in Riverside County, with the office phone lines and orientation steps, is in the IHSS Riverside County guide. IHSS wages for every county we cover, with effective dates, are in the IHSS pay by county guide.

How the public numbers relate to private rates, and what affects them, is covered in the caregiver pay guide.

Rules

Caregiver requirements in California, applied to Beaumont

Beaumont adds no rules of its own to California's. Private, non-medical work paid by a family needs no license, while a home care organization must list you on the state Home Care Aide Registry before you see clients. Shifts at Highland Springs or Vista Real as a nursing assistant need a CDPH certificate. To be paid through IHSS, start with Riverside County's IHSS HOME line at (888) 960-4477, which also handles the Public Authority registry for providers who do not yet have a client; the county hub lists the steps. For the fingerprint step, the Attorney General's list shows Live Scan at the Beaumont Police Department on Orange Avenue (Tuesday and Thursday mornings, by appointment) and at a walk-in store on Beaumont Avenue. Suspected abuse of a client must be reported. See the requirements guide.
